    • Identifying underlying contributors to symptoms

    • Supporting the body’s natural healing processes

  • Each appointment is personalized to your unique needs, combining several approaches to support your health, balance, and well-being. While every session is different, here’s what you can typically expect:

    1. Discussion & Health History
We’ll start by talking about your health concerns, lifestyle, goals, and any past treatments. This helps me understand your story and identify what matters most to your health journey.

    2. Manual Muscle Testing (if appropriate)
For clients who are open to it, I may use gentle, non-invasive manual muscle testing. This helps to assess how your nervous system, muscles, and body are functioning, guiding which areas may need support and what the body is ready to address first.

We may use to assess your body’s need for certain supplements and foods.

    3. Brain and Movement based therapy (if appropriate)
For clients who would benefit, we may incorporate gentle brain- and movement-based exercises. These support nervous system balance, coordination, and overall brain-body communication.

    4. Naturopathic & Functional Medicine Guidance
Based on your assessment and goals, we’ll explore nutrition, lifestyle, supplement support, and other individualized strategies to support the body’s natural healing and overall balance. Functional testing may be recommended if it could provide deeper insights into your body’s needs.

    5. Collaborative Plan & Next Steps
At the end of the session, we’ll outline a personalized plan you feel confident following. After your appointment, I will send you detailed treatment guidelines so you have clear, step-by-step recommendations to support your health between visits.

  • Manual muscle testing is a gentle, non-invasive assessment tool used to gain insight into how the body is functioning and what it may need to support healing. It works by observing how specific muscles respond to light pressure, which can reflect how the nervous system is communicating with the rest of the body.

Rather than testing strength, this technique looks at muscle response, helping to highlight areas of stress, imbalance, or priority within the body.

How Manual Muscle Testing Is Used in Sessions

Manual muscle testing helps guide a personalized approach to care. It may be used to:

    • Identify areas of physical, neurological, or energetic stress

    • Assess how the body is responding to nutritional or supplemental support

    • Highlight structural or movement-based imbalances

    • Help prioritize what the body is ready to address first

This process allows care to be responsive and individualized, rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

    What to Expect

Manual muscle testing is a gentle and comfortable technique that involves light pressure on specific muscles while you remain fully clothed. It doesn’t require any exertion on your part, and many children and adults find it calming and supportive. Sometimes I’ll explain what I’m noticing as we go, and other times I’ll let you relax and we’ll go over the findings together at the end of the session.

The information gathered helps inform thoughtful, tailored support that aligns with your body’s unique needs.

You may need more than one appointment work work through the layers of support needed.

Why I Use Manual Muscle Testing

I use manual muscle testing as part of an integrative approach to care. When combined with naturopathic and functional medicine principles, it helps create a clearer picture of what your body is communicating and where support may be most beneficial.

My intention is always to create a safe, respectful space where your body leads the process, supporting clarity, confidence, and sustainable progress on your health journey.

Manual muscle testing does not diagnose conditions or replace medical care. It is used as an assessment tool to help guide individualized support.
